THREE WAYS TO PROMOTE GROWTH IN YOUR CHILD’S HAIR

Every child’s rate of hair growth is different. Although attaining the optimal level of hair health should be the goal, length retention can be important as well. Here are three tips you can integrate in your regimen to stimulate growth in your child’s hair.

CREATE A CONDITIONING SPRAY

Mixing essential oils and your favorite conditioner (hint: Love My Roots Deep Conditioner is a great alternative) is a great, low maintenance way to moisturize your child’s hair on a daily basis. This also helps to cut down on the amount times you have to ‘do’ your child’s hair since this mixture acts as an instant refresher.

REFRAIN FROM USING HEAT ON THE HAIR

Using direct heat on the hair, even on an occasional basis can eventually cause damage to your child’s curls over time.  After washing and conditioning, style it wet, wrap it in a silk scarf and take it down the next day. This allows you to make sure that there’s no damage to the child’s hair even after styling.

DEEP CONDITION EVERY WEEK

It’s perfectly normal to wash your child’s hair no more that once every two weeks. However,  in between washer, deep conditioning hair weekly is a great way to lock in moisture. It’s also great to add essential oils, aloe vera juice and a plastic cap into the mix. Also, refrain from using I don’t add heat ;however, I do let the conditioner sit overnight.  Whenever I wash it out, her hair is moisturized and almost revitalized from the week’s styling. Here is my method for deep conditioning a toddler’s hair.
